The ISRI Sturgeon Research Station of Guilan is located at the beach of the south Caspian Sea. In total area of 2.8 hectares, facilities provided for aquaculture of Sturgeon in terms of easier access to Caspian Sea brackish water. Since 2003, with the aim of creating a research/training site and pilot plant, Station constructed and equipped with Collaboration of the World Bank. Although series of research projects prepared in order to biotechnique finding of breeding challenges and Sturgeon aquaculture issues until the extracting of Caviar. ISRI Sturgeon Research Station of Guilan has access to direct brackish water of the Caspian Sea and fiberglass/concrete tanks for diverse size/weight treatments of Sturgeon indeed broodstocks maintenance.
