Introduction

Aquaculture department of ISRI has started its activity from 1994, in order to conduct scientific researches on determining Sturgeon diet requirements in different growth stages, brood stocking and production Sturgeon eggs. The main activities of aquaculture department focuses on investigation bio technique of rearing Sturgeons in different to produce meat and caviar.

Also research on increasing production yield in different rearing systems and identifying feeding requirements, also providing new methods for Sturgeon rearing and propagation and extracting eggs from different Sturgeon endemic/none endemic species.
